CRAIGSLIST
CRAIGSLIST is the EIGHT MOST VISTED WEBSITE IN THE USA.
That means BILLIONS of eyes could view your content.
When posting on Craigslist, it is recommended to post in either of the following catagories depending on whether you want to promote the BENEFITS or the BUSINESS
- SERVICES>AUTOMOTIVE
- SERVICES>SMALL BUSINESS
- JOBS>SALES
- JOBS>CUSTOMER SERVICE
- JOBS>ECT
- JOBS>PART-TIME
- RESUMES
- COMMUNITY
Keep in mind when posting ads in the JOB catagory, people are looking for just that, a typical "JOB" and not necessarily an online non-standard venture. It may be important to note this when creating your posting. Avoid making posts that state "work from home" or "work online". Also note that Craigslist has blocked many phrases and URLs in regards to MCA, so make sure your listing (especially text based listing) include these as they will have a high probability of getting flagged or even blocked from posting, potentially limiting or blocking your own Craigslist account.
Avoid posting TEXT ADS with the words Motor Club of America, MCA, TVCMATRIX, Work From Home, Work Online, ect...
If you use any capture page or systems, many of these URLs have been blocked.
WHY??
Because 100's or 1,000's of people are promoting the same domain name, the only difference is the USERNAME ... www.tvcmatrix.com/USERNAME.
To AVOID this, it 100% HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU GET YOUR OWN PERSONAL DOMAIN NAME, and forward it to your capture page if you choose to use links in your posts.
Also when creating your ad, you use either of the following styles in regars to providing them a method to contact you and creating your ad:
No Links in the ad, but you provide a phone number to contact (less likely to be flagged, gives you an ability to screen your leads)
No Links in the ad, but you provide a reply-to-address in the ad (may be susceptible to scraping by others)
Text Links in the ad (may be susceptible to word blocking on flagging by Craigslist or competition; quicker to post and ad for the person viewing the ad to follow through on your site)
The BIGGEST Frustration of Craigslist is GHOSTING AND FLAGGING.
There is no 100% way to avoid this. First of all ANY ad can be Flagged, whether it is free or paid, PAID ADS are required in certaing catagories in the larger metropolitan areas. You can view this at http://www.craigslist.org/about/help/posting_fees
Craigslist was designed for people to post locally in their own areas, but of course you want to post EVERYWHERE. In order to do this, you may need to do numerous things or invest in products to allow you to do just that. I can't guarantee all methods wil work because CRAIGSLIST IS ALWAYS CHANGING THEIR DESIGN BEHIND THE SCENES - WHAT WORKS TODAY MAY NOT WORK TOMORROW.
*You should look into posting on average no more than 3 ads per account per 48 hours. You can probably post more, and some have, but that's up to you how frequently you decide to do it.
If you try to post nationwide on your own computer, you'll probably end up with ads ghosted (which means you may be able to manually go to the link, but they don't show up in the listings. Also you risk having your IP Address, Phone Number AND/OR E-mail address put on Craigslist's Blacklist (NOT what you'd ever want)
You can look on YOUTUBE and probably find 1000's of videos on how to post on Craigslist.
